The PPC Recommendations page is where sellerboard collects actionable bid and keyword suggestions generated by your PPC automation rules.
Instead of applying changes blindly, this page allows you to review, accept, or postpone recommendations manually before they are sent to Amazon. It acts as a control layer between analysis and automation.
Use this page to:
- Review suggested bid changes
- Promote well-performing search terms
- Block poorly-performing search terms
- Understand why a recommendation was generated
- Apply changes individually or in bulk
What the PPC Recommendations page shows
The page displays recommendations that were generated by sellerboard’s PPC automation logic but require user confirmation.
Recommendations are grouped into three tabs:
- Bids
- Well-performing Search Terms
- Poorly-performing Search Terms
Each tab focuses on a different type of optimization action.

The page opens with all available recommendations grouped by type.
Bid recommendations
The Bids tab shows suggestions to increase or decrease keyword-level bids.
These recommendations are generated based on:
- Historical performance
- Profitability and break-even ACOS
- Campaign-level automation rules
They are meant to help you:
- Reduce wasted spend
- Scale profitable keywords
- Bring bids back into a sustainable range

- Confirm the action.
The bid change is sent to Amazon and reflected in your PPC campaigns.

- The recommendation will be paused temporarily.
Snoozed recommendations will not be applied or re-suggested during the snooze period.
Well-performing search terms
The Well-performing Search Terms tab highlights search terms that meet your promotion rules.
Typical triggers include:
- A minimum number of orders
- Acceptable ACOS or profit
- Sufficient data volume
These recommendations usually suggest:
- Adding the search term as a keyword
- Moving it into a more controlled campaign or ad group
How do I apply a well-performing search term recommendation?
- Review the suggested search term.
- Click Accept recommendation.
- The term is promoted according to your automation rules.
Poorly-performing search terms
The Poorly-performing Search Terms tab shows terms that triggered negative keyword rules.
Common triggers include:
- No sales after a defined number of clicks
- Poor efficiency over time
These recommendations usually suggest:
- Adding the term as a negative keyword
- Preventing further wasted spend
How do I apply a negative keyword recommendation?
- Review the search term and its metrics.
- Click Accept recommendation.
- The term is added as a negative keyword in Amazon.
Applying recommendations in bulk
You don’t need to act on recommendations one by one.
How do I apply multiple recommendations at once?
- Use the checkboxes to select multiple items.
- Click Accept at the top of the list.
- Confirm the action.
How do I snooze multiple recommendations?
- Select multiple recommendations using checkboxes.
- Click Snooze for 30 days.
- All selected items will be postponed.
Understanding why a recommendation was made
Every recommendation includes an explanation of which rule triggered it.
How do I see the triggering rule?
- Click the info (ℹ️) icon next to a recommendation.
- Review the rule details, such as:
- “No sales after 10 clicks”
- “Orders > 5 in 14 days”
This helps you validate whether the recommendation matches your strategy.
Filtering recommendations
How do I filter the recommendations list?
Use the search bar at the top of the page to filter by:
- Campaign name
- Product title
- SKU
- ASIN
The filter applies across all tabs.
Automation and recommendations
What happens if a campaign is fully automated?
If a campaign’s automation status is set to On:
- Matching recommendations are applied automatically
- They do not appear on the PPC Recommendations page
- All actions are logged in the Automation Log
The Recommendations page only shows items that still require manual approval.
Can I change the rules that generate recommendations?
Yes.
How do I edit automation rules?
- Go to PPC → Dashboard.
- Open the relevant campaign.
- Click Edit Campaign.
- Adjust Keyword Automation or Bid Automation rules.
Changes to thresholds (orders, clicks, ACOS, profit) will affect future recommendations.
